Last Sunday morning we went riding towards Chikkamalligwad. Close to Hiremath farm we saw girl clad in track pant and tee-short walking at a slow pace. Looked like she wanted a relaxed walk rather than a brisk walk. We took a U-turn at Mallikarjuna Gudi on the outskirts of Malligwad village. On the way back, we passed the girl near Panduranga and Guddada Anjaneya temples. As we approached the temple gates, three elderly ladies entered the premises, with two dogs in tow. We've seen morning walk group earlier, they take a short break here and then head back home. Same with us too, we take a short break and take in a few sips of water. Two ladies and one dog sat on Panduranga Gudi steps, the other lady sat on the steps of a room next to the temple. The second dog went and laid down next to her feet, you can say almost on her feet. The lady asked the dog to move little. No, he ignored her pleas. The lady was chattering away.. I'd kept a stick here, where's it, wait let me get another stick ..she got up to break away a twig from a tree close by. The dog stood and silently moved away and settled next to the other dog. Clever fellow :)
Amused and smiling, we hopped on our bikes and continued our ride. We went under the highway and took the newly made service road and lo... we saw the girl again. So you are following the girl... Pushpa's remark. Yeah yeah! We rode on traffic passing by in both directions. After a minute we stopped to take pictures. Our picture session was done and the girl had caught up with us. Now, I know why you wanted to stop, to see that girl... Pushpa again. Yeah yeah yeah. Before the girl passed us we restarted our ride, turned off the service road into Kelageri lake road.
Back home, we must've spoken of these amusing incidents four five times. The lady, dog and girl had made our morning.
