Tuprikai Hoovu

 Thruprikai is a gourd which looks like ridge gourd. Thuprikai doesn't have well defined ridges, rather it is rounded. These bright yellow beauties are Thuprikai flowers, grown on its creeper.

The flower transforms into a gourd over several weeks and needs few more weeks to develop fully. Thuprikai is made into spicy curries which goes well with jolada rotti or chapati.
