Antz Walk-over

A overhead cable TV wire; from our office terrace to a pole on the other side of the street.

The wire serves as a bridge for these weaver ants. I've seen these ants in the mango tree close to our building. Now I got to know our friends go across the street to gather food.

This is a busy street with heavy traffic. Our friends have found a safe way across it. Really smart.

Ants are great explorers!

Great photos. In the Second one the focus should have been on the ants rather than the water lorry below.

I agree ants should have been in focus. I shot this picture from my mobile-phone camera features :(

:) You made me to remember my school days, when I used to sit & watch the line of ants (small ones), ants very disciplined one as I feel, they will be moving in a line ( no hurry to break the queue , as often we human beings do :D , may be we think rules are made to break), if you ever disturb them for few secs they will stop as if they are thinking , where we are heading & next moment will move on in same direction.. :)..I used to do it , thinking what they might think will they communicate to each other ??

good old days..

also bees are disciplined but ants are the best to watch. as a kid (even now) i would wet a finger and draw a line across their path and watch their reactions. they would stop and start discussing "what to do." slowly one or two would go around the wet patch and find a detour. the best part of an ant-line is every passing ant would greet every opposite passing ant ...all are friends :)
