Half moon Dec 23rd 2024

After a hectic restless Sunday.. having woken up at 4 AM, I went to bed around 10 pm. Nature's call woke me around 1-20 AM. That's when I noticed the red half moon on the eastern sky. Despite sleepiness I brought the camera to the utility space, but not the tripod. Placing the camera on the wall and raising the front to get the moon at the center was tricky when the lens was fully extended. I took a dozen or so shots, this was the best. The rest of the images were blurred, deleted them. For some reason, at full zoom the redness disappears.

Cuckoo on Singapore cherry tree

Caught this cuckoo yesterday afternoon. It was hunting insects. It sensed being watched, became restless and disappeared into the foliage.

real feels unreal

Once we happened to get yellow bell pepper for a particular dish. It was so perfect that it looked and felt like an artificial. No that Nature is incapable of producing some so perfect. Usually when we get vegetables they come with little damage but this pepper was flawless.
