Zigzag clouds on a September morning

These clouds were seen from Kyarkoppa Gudda on the dawn of September 2nd.

a mesmerizing morning sky

 The dawn sky of December 4th was bearing down with heavy looking clouds. 

The dense clouds slowly dispersed as Sun rose over the horizon.

These clouds were seen on Nov-16th 4-45 to 5-15 pm. Blue, white and grey dominated the skies for some time.

The blue-grey clouds ahead of the white clouds are unusual. It looks like strokes of a paint brush.

This scene is from Nov-17th morning. The moment I saw grey clouds with a clear sky in the background, I guessed the clouds were going to be lit up orange-red light.

spectacular sunrise of May-15th

At 5-15 AM the sky was a shade of bluish-grey. A hint of red clouds just above the horizon. Clouds at dawn are a sign of drama. Quickly my mobile phone was mounted on a stand and set to time-lapse photography. On the side the tripod mounted DSLR also came into action capturing these wonderful scenes.

ನೋಡಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾನಲ್ಲಿ,

ಶಶಿಯನ್ನು ಪಕ್ಕಕಿರಿಸಿ ಇಣುಕುತಿಹನು ರವಿ..

ಇರುಳ ಕತ್ತಲ ಸರಿಸಿ,

ಹಗಲ ಬೆಳಕನೊತ್ತು ಉದಯಿಸುತಿಹನು ರವಿ||

ಮುಂಜಾನೆ - ಮುಸ್ಸಂಜೆ , ಹಗಲು - ಇರುಳು,

ಇವುಗಳು ದಿನಕರನ ದಿನಚರಿಯ ಭಾಗ..

Ballet in the sky

The morning sky of April-23 was a spectacular show of sunlight and clouds.

 A unique cloud formation on the horizon..

Several minutes later, the sharp edge of the dagger formation is blurred by the effect of wind.

Sun lights up the clouds in shades of orange and gold.

Every morning at daybreak, Indian Kites take off from their homes, some where on the outskirts, in search of food.

At the end of the day, the kites can be seen flying in the opposite direction. When they fly back home, they are in a huge group spread around widely, may be hundred or two hundred. Seems like they stay on few large trees on a hillock near Navalur village.

We left home around 6-00, rode our MTBs to Kelageri lake via KCD Circle, Police HQ and Sadankeri. As we reached the lake's western side, Sun was just above the horizon, creating this glorious sight.

Ducks paddled around peacefully, no one to bother them at this hour.

The towering structure is Radio Tower of Dharwad.

At this time, there was some activity on the lake shore, a batch of buffaloes had just finished their morning in water and leaving for grazing. And, another group was making its way to the lake. More groups will follow..
