Fern Spores

The black dots seen on the leaves are spores. Spores form part of the life cycles of ferns.

Well, another "shared" plant, although I believe the one in your photo must be outside in nature. You can see mine in the last photo of this post: http://decorasylum.blogspot.gr/2013/06/succulent-collection.html
(although the post is mainly about my succulents and the post is in Greek :) )

You are right Dimitra. This fern is out in the nature at botanical garden nursery. My first memory of ferns goes back to childhood days, I remember seeing ferns at Kemmangundi, one of the best hill stations in Karnataka. In fact this is the time to be there ..that is if one can tolerate damp and cold weather. Coming back to ferns, I like them for their simplicity.

Good day Siddeshwar. Cold, I can handle it (love winters-not a fan at all of summer). Googled Kemmanagundi, it is spectacular (I have a soft spot for lush green hills and terrain in general!). About ferns, there is something very regal about them, most probably their elegant simplicity.
